Woodford Hemp House Completed!

The Woodford Hemp House is officially complete, and we couldn’t be more excited about the results! This project was an incredible effort by everyone involved, with the owners leading the charge alongside their supportive parents. A special thanks also goes out to the extended family members and volunteers who generously lent their time and skills over the three weeks to make this vision a reality.

Woodford, located in Queensland’s picturesque Moreton Bay region, is a rural town with a strong sense of community. Known for its annual Woodford Folk Festival, the town’s creative and collaborative spirit made it the perfect backdrop for this sustainable build. With a population of 4,022 (according to the 2021 census), Woodford is a shining example of rural charm and innovation.

The completed house showcases the incredible benefits of hempcrete—offering superior insulation, a healthier living environment, and a stunning natural aesthetic. It’s a project that perfectly reflects the power of teamwork and the promise of sustainable building.
