The Jan Juc Hemp House project has been a truly special experience, with three generations of helpers coming together to make this sustainable, ocean-view home a reality. From grandparents to grandchildren, it’s been amazing to see how anyone, regardless of age or background, can get involved in the hemp building process.

David’s extensive experience leading volunteer teams has been key to the project’s success, ensuring that everyone—whether seasoned builders or complete beginners—felt supported and empowered throughout. The incredible clients, along with friends and visitors who dropped by to lend a hand, created a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere, proving that teamwork is at the heart of every great hemp build.

Located on Victoria’s stunning Surf Coast, Jan Juc is a breathtaking setting for this project. The beach lies between Rocky Point and Bird Rock, framed by high cliffs and sandy dunes where an ephemeral creek meets Bass Strait. As the build progresses to the second story, the team is treated to spectacular ocean views, making the effort all the more rewarding.
