Southern Hemp on Facebook – Demo Wall Put to the Test
If you’ve ever wondered just how tough hemp walls really are, David recently put one to the test on our Southern Hemp Facebook page. Armed with a hammer and a lot of effort, he demolished one of our travelling demonstration walls—and it wasn’t easy. Even the unrendered sections put up a serious fight.
David joked afterward, “I’m thinking a brick wall would be easier to demolish.” Not bad for a natural material that’s also breathable, fire resistant, pest resistant, and carbon negative.
The demo wall has been on the road for years, travelling around the countryside to events and workshops, showing people firsthand how hempcrete feels, performs, and inspires. After this workout, it’s time to rebuild the display wall so it’s ready for the next round of demonstrations.
